You should really try the latest Aureal drivers first. Older drivers had known compatibility problems with VIA chipsets.

One more thing, you were right about the chipset Payne. Diamond's site states that it has compatibility problems with VIA chipsets.

Thanks for all the help guys. I thought I had the latest drivers from Diamond because their site said 2/11 but I missed the 99 on the end. Guess my brain isn't Y2K compliant.

This one's really got me stumped.
Got my shiny new Athlon up and running, but the MX300 soundcard is refusing to work.
When I try to install the drivers, I get an error that crashes windows...
