i can suggest you two criticals upgrades:
1. more ram, always more ram is better.
First i was using a 64MB 433Celeron and work well, but when i made undos or edit, then sometimes lockup....

Your HD is in way for RIP.
Buy a new one, and i suggest you hurry up, because maybe someday the entire HD will crash.
