I have the VIA KT133a chipset and the SB live card.
Everything works just fine, no conflicts.
Great card for the $$$, and it's an industry standard card making for easy compatibility.

Just use the wire that came with the system.
For computer speakers anything more is a waste.
You will never hear the difference.
