The vibra doesn't push the PCI bus like the SB Crap! does; thats why it works great.

AGP apeture is 128mb (half my RAM). My swap file is a dedicated was 256mb.

I am now in Win2000 trying to see if it helps. The swap file here set by OS is 384mb.

Now if only I could fix the...

Been looking for a Santa Cruz everywhere here but can't find one. I did find a Guillemot Gamesound FortissimoII. I've read it is comparable to a SB Crap (when it works!)

What do you think of this...

I hope a new card works...because I just crashed again. Now I give up...

I only use 2 PCI slots. Slot 6 for the SB Crap! and slot3 for my cheapo NIC. Let me know how you make out. I found out last night that Roger Wilco (gaming voice prog) can cause looping sound crashes...

Okay, here's what I did.

1. Installed the latest official 4-in-1 drivers from VIA. I unchecked the AGP part during the install because my AMD 761 chip takes care of that.

2. I installed my AMD...

8 hours of testing in a new PCI slot yielded, get this, not one crash! If it holds for another day I may have found my fix...

I have moved my SB to the last PCI slot in my case at the bottom. Some ppl report that helping, but I doubt if it will.

Creative is only concerned about their new cards, not their old ones...they...

We're all screwed...I have been fighting with this problem day in and out for 2 weeks. I have tried all fixes known and still it continues; I am very close to throwing out my SB-Live...I've heard...
