yeah I just looked at it on soundblaster.com but the site is going insanely slow....so I thought I'd pop over here and see what info I could find on the board =)

well the speakers connected to my dolby digital amp do that if i set it to dvd when its not getting a digital signal and turn the volume very high...u can hear the radio faintly.
btw the amp is also...

well my live value is fine.
sounds exactly the same as my friends platinum.
i don't need the digital out though because its already on my dxr3 card ...

Sony Phillips Digital Interface.
It is made for digital audio....u need a sound card that has a digital audio connector to use it.
It is basically digital sound.

well u didnt say what version of direct u have currently on your machine.
but yes u should put directx 7 on your machine for compatibility with newer games.

I'm not too sure that the drivers will fix it but the prob with the Abit BE6-II and the SB Live is usually what slot it is positioned in.
The Live! usually likes the 1st pci slot, but if it doesnt...
