perhaps you can find a hackd driver or something if you do a google search. or even try some win2k drivers

i am using the onboard sound of the abit n7v133r with the optical output going to my yamaha rxv-800 reciever. the encoder will take any sounds(a3d,eax..etc) and encode it into a dolby digital stream...

the two pin one inside of your case is a digital in most likely...a rca type or toslink optical type are most likeley outputs for a minidisc player or hometheater reciever. i use my optical out on...

are you planning on painting it silver?...i think it might look weird in a silver case. personaly i think the audigy is a bit overpriced. i would check out the xfire(or somehting by terrac) i saw...

hercules fortismo 2 is supposed to be quite good for around 30 at newegg.

could probaly find a vortex 2 chipset for that price.....thye don'y make drivers anymore but if you are running 98 and not planning on upgradeing to xp then it might be a good choice.

yes u can but you will only recieve 5.1 channel on dvds....games and music will most likely be 2 channel.

get an rca to mini jack converter then you can run the audio thru the line in on your sound card. un mute it in the volume controls and it should come out ur pc speakers
