there is a 3d-now! patch for quake2, you can get it at the tech support section of www.amd.com . you should install it for sure, it's supposed to bump up your framerates by something crazy like...

FYI anand has a review of the k6-3, the synopsis... both 400 and 450 mhz versions run faster in all tests (except hard disk, with an insignificant difference) than the pII 450 and the 300a oc'ed to...
