Seems like most people use winamp. I went to the website and it does indeed look like a nice piece of software.
My question is, what are the benefits of using winamp over the software supplied...

Solution (at least for my problem).
Somehow, my playcenter was in preview mode even though the option was not set.
I went into the registry and set the preview mode value from 1 to 0.

I have the same problem. The peculiar thing is that it worked fine for weeks. Out of the blue mp3 playback stops after one second.
I am going to reinstall playcenter and see if that helps. I'll...

Are there any other devices sharing irq10 with the sblive?
It doesn't like to share.

Just a thought. Make sure you're video card isn't using the same IRQ as the sblive.
Win98 pulled that once on me and I had audio problems playing 3d games.

I probably wouldn't buy one made by aureal since they are getting ready to dismantle

BTW, there is a good review of the SQ2500

From what I understand, the aureal card and A3D are best for gaming. The sblive is best
for all other audio applications (music, midi, etc).
I'm actuall thinking about getting rid of my sblive...

Okay, let me get this straight. If you replace your viper with a matrox video card
all your problems go away? That implies that
either the problem is with your viper or that
there is a conflict...

I am running ut with a sblive. I have 3d audio enabled. No problem. In fact, ut also
works with audio hardware acceleration enabled and disabled.
I agree with huge, I don't think it is a...

Nope. They have actually relased new drivers after the liveware 3.0 release. Blues news
and shugashack have just posted info. within the last few days.
The readme.txt in the zip file is dated...

There are new sblive drivers available for download at:
I have yet to actually be able to get through and download them.

I'm not posting this as an argument, more of a question. I thought I had read that A3d
uses more processor power then EAX. i.e. fps drops when using a3d. Thoughts?

Toobox. I am sorry. That was a joke that
got out of hand. I never expected people
to really believe I mailed a couple hundred
meg file to you. I guess I gave the board
to much credit.

There is a huge demand for the CDs. The
same thing happened with 2.0. They would
run out in less then a week. I don't
understand why they can't plan a little better
and order more copies. ...

I ordered on a Thursday and received it
on Monday. I am impatient also and had
it shipped two day.

Okay. Never mind. I was brain damaged.
Wave studio is there. It just didn't
install. Probably operator error.
The presets are there also. Just import
them as you need or want them.

Seriously though. I am dissapointed in
the lw 3.0 CD. First of all, wave studio
goes away. I just installed it last night
and haven't had much of a chance to investigate though.

Toolbox. I left it in your mailbox.

1. Keep your pants on. Liveware 3.0 will be
FREELY downloadable over the web. 2.0
was and 3.0 will be also.
2. Don't drink so much caffeine. Your message
was almost unintelligable. ;-)...
