It's a snap...I've got a Hewlett Packard 7200i...make sure your original CD is jumpered as MASTER and the burner as SLAVE...try to put them on the same IDE cable...I've heard the SONY unit is good too.

I have heard Plextor is the best, I haven't ever tried them though. I have a Mitsumi 2 x 8, Yamaha 4 x 6, and a Ricoh 4 x 2 x 8. My Ricoh is great
