What is PCI UDMA EIDE RAID Controller Card?

i have Promise ULTRA-66 controller...but performance increase is negligible...even on ULTRA-66 IDE cable...

what is PCI UDMA RAID??? can it help in peformance....or do i need special hdd for UDMA RAID??

um thinking about buying ADAPTEC PCI UDMA EIDE RAID Controller Card

i have
IBM DJNA 18GB ATA-66 7,200rpm
WDC 45GB ATA-66 5,400rpm
