I bought this card about 2 days ago at a local Electronics Boutique. I now want to return the card because of everything that I have read about it and want to wait till the TI series comes out and then get one of those. Do you guys think that I should have any problems returning it at all? I dont want it anymore, consider it a compulsive buy...BIG mistake... http://discussions.hardwarecentral.com/frown.gif
Any idea when the others will be out?

I see EB has the GF4 4400 for about 299.99. I think Im gonna see if I can either return the card for the money, or at least get a in-store credit for the 4400.
Is it worth the money compared to this MX 440???
Where can I get some benchmarking software to do some comparisons???

Good ol tom.
You will see that the GF4 MX is only a little better than a GF2, not nearly as good as a GF3. The GF3 will be a bargain I'm thinking. Then again, so will the Radeon 8500. http://discussions.hardwarecentral.com/biggrin.gif

Yeah, after looking at that site, im definitely going to go with the Ti series boards, one of them anyway. I think that i will go with either the 4400 or the 4600. I ust dont know which. I dont know if I want to spend an extra 100 or 200. It's a lot of money. Thanx for the help!

Todd a
I've heard there is going to be a Ti4200 also and it will set you back only $200. This sis the best card out there in my opinion and should overclcok wonderfully. I'm getting one the first day they are out.
It almost sounds like the 4200 though is an OEM card and not slotted for retail. As long as I can get one, I don't care. I am willing to spend the extra $100 and get the retail Ti4400 if need be. I really want to replace my GeForce2 GTS.
Yeah, at this point I've made up my mind too. I'm in the middle of returning the MX440 card to use that money as a down payment for the Ti4600 card. The manager there said that I could do that, but the employees there are saying that I might not be able to because I already opened it up. The manager wasnt there so I have to talk to him again on tomorrow. When are the Ti4600's suppose to be out?
I'm in the same position, I REALLY need to replace my GeForce 2 MX DDV card...a little old...

Well, I finally talked to EB and the manager took the other card back and put my 200 toward the GeForce4 Ti4600! So as soon as the 25th hits I'll have the new card, i cant wait. Anyway, just thought I'd share my good news since I was bored as hell.
Have a good one people!

Yeah, I do need a new CPU. I have my eye on the 1700+ right now. I'll be purchasing that within the month. Then on to the soundcard which is going to be the Turtle Beach...
No more snap, crackle, pop!
