With a TV-out card, can the TV be used as a second monitor?
I'm have win98, and want to have a second monitor; I was planning to use my old video card along with a new one-probably a Geforce 2 MX 400. Could I use a TV instead? I know the resolution won't be as good, but does the TV-out have any use other than playing DVD's?
Using a TV as a monitor is pretty bad. The resolution is bad, the refresh rate is painful and the dimensions are out.
You could do it, but TV-Out is still best used to play DVD's http://discussions.hardwarecentral.com/wink.gif
