Aopen Geforce2 MX

i was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem as me with the AOPEN GeForce2 MX.

when i play games, such as Quake3 my computer will hang at random times, sometimes 20mins..sometimes 60mins into the game.

I did not have this problem with my Rage128.

I have a feeling it is the cooling on the card, because it only comes with a HS no Fan

and when i am in windows the HS is warm, after gaming it is HOT

i was wondering if anyone had this prob? and if so, did putting a Blue Orb(considering buying it) on the card fix it?

I wouldn't think a heatsink or fan is required, isn't the MX chip supposed to be cool running?

Got the latest NVidia drivers? Does it do this in 2D mode?

this problem has been happening straight out of the box with every driver build there is

including the current official 6.31

my friend has the same card/prob but his does not hang as often.

the HS gets really hot when you touch.

so FUCT.

Well I think you just got a defective card.... maybe sell it to your friend for around $20 since a defective GF2MX cost about that much now http://discussions.hardwarecentral.com/smile.gif hehe jkjkjk
