Quick Q

Which of these are the fastest in OpenGL, D3D or any other non 3dfx only 3d acceleration.

Voodoo Banshee 16meg AGP

or

16meg ati rage 128 agp?

Does anyone know? I just need a quick answer like " The ati is better" or whatever. I already know that the ATI doesnt do glide and all that stuff. Thanks.

Sounds like this card will be used predominantly for gaming. Definitely pass on the ATI and go for the Voodoo Banshee, it will give you much better performance.

Just did a test. Both are using same settings res, graphics mode details etc.

Quake 2 demo1.dm2


ATI- 41.8fps

Banshee- 29.6fps

Odd just tried Wheel of time. Gives about the exact opposite.

Banshee- 25.6

ATI- 13.4

Same settings. Odd some reason ATI better for Q2 but banshee better for WoT.
