Yesterday I bought an ABIT BX-6 rev 2 motherboard, a PII-400 cpu, and am currently using a Diamond Speedstar A50 8mb video card and I have 96mb of PC100 SDRAM. I think I am going to get a Viper V770, but now I find my choices growing. Do I get the 16mb or the 32mb. And there is a TNT2 and an Ultra TNT2. What should I get? Or should I not even get a Diamond? Any help would be appreciated!

Hey kester,
I just returned my viper 770 to the store where I bought it. It did not work properly from the moment it went into my machine. After several days of trying everthing to get it to work I bought a VooDoo3 3000. It worked as soon as I plugged it in. You may have better luck with a PII system since mine was an AMD but I cannot reccomend a viper 770. I would go with a VooDoo 3.

I decided to go with the Viper and I love it. After buying all of this hardware, I can't afford a new game, but the old ones look fantastic. I still have a crappy monitor, but I definately notice a huge difference!
