help my hdd got erased!

Does anyone know any program or tool that can restore erased files on a FAT32 hard driver?

Boot you sys with a boot disk. Then type a:\unformat If that doesn't work you are screwed.

where can I get the unformat program?

I'd love an explanation of why this was posted in the video cards section...

p.s. unformat was in dos a while back, I think it's gone now. Older norton utils had a recover as well. There are companies that will recover damn near anything, from a hd in almost any state, however, they charge a lot of money.
