Can my video card support a 22" LCD monitor?
my video card is a Nvidia 6600, the maximum resolution is 1600x1200. 22" LCD monitor has a native resolution of 1680x1052.

Running the LCD at its native resolution will give you its best quality output and less distortion from the true image size. But if the video card cannot match it then there may be a problem. You could run the LCD at a non-native resolution, but again image quality will suffer, but probably not enough for you to even notice. I would feel more comfortable making sure the video card match the native resolution.
update your drivers first. if the widescreen resolutions don't appear, then create a custom resolution.
