How does a cell phone keep it's addresses and settings intact when you remove and replace the battery?
cellphones have a sim card and/or onboard memory.
But when U remove the battery why does the memory keep the info? How long can this memory keep the info without the battery? There must be a mini battery in there hidden as well.
When in doubt - get a new battery.
its called non volitle memory. it doesnt loose information once powered down. theres a few different kinds of memory, and not all of them need power to retain data
it's the same type of memory used in usb flash drives. it can retain data without power.
