The is a microadvantage dvd burner,I was using it yesterday and after it got done installing it would not reopen. I was able to manually open it with the little hole to get my disk out. It does not do anything though If I manually open it and insert a new disk or anything.
The lights flash on it if I push the eject button and that's about it. All the connections are good also. Anyone have any suggestions?

How old is the drive? cd/dvd drives die all the time.

It's not old, I fixed it by removing it again and sticking it back in.
