How's my 3dmark2001 rating at 11300 ?
I have been using the madonion 3DMark2001 benchmark utility to rate my system.
Originally I had an ATI AIW Radeon+Athlon 1.1Ghz+Asus a7v133
and my benchmark was 3380.
I then upgraded to a PNY GeForce4 Ti-4200 64MB and my benchmark hit 7780.
Then I upgraded the mobo/processor to a Athlon Xp 2600+ and a a7n8x deluxe and my benchmark hit 11300.
I do notice in their high poly count with 8 light test that I start seeing chop.
I was curious if anyone had a comparable system with a ATI radeon 9700 pro, and how much better they did.
Also I'd like to know how others scored, so if you an post your system specs and your benchmark scores, that would be great.
I am trying to see if upgrading my graphics card will be as dramatic an improvement as going from 3380 --> 11300 ??

I imagine such a system would get around 13500-14000 3DMarks with nothing overclocked.
Unfortunately the default test in 3DMark test doesn't really do the 9700 Pro justice - it literally destroys the Ti4200 when it comes to FSAA and AF performance, especially at higher resolutions.
Run 3DMark2001SE at 1280x1024 with 4xFSAA and 64-tap aniso and I'll get back to you with an equivalent score on my system (if you are interested).
MuFu.
