I'm looking into replacing my cd rom that I think is pooping out. What is a good reliable brand that isn't very expensive? I just want an internal IDE.

When it comes to low cost, I've had really good experience with LG Electronics drives.
It ain't acer and creative, btc has been good for a generic and ditto on LG.
Prices of CDROM drives are fairly inexpensive nowadays,
AOpen, Asus, LG, LITE-ON...
I would suggest Asus
