I'm thinking about building a low cost system to be upgraded later. Which is best for gaming FPU, overclocking, etc. And recommend a good, cheap, motherboard.

The Celly will beat out a K6-2 speed for speed, but you can bet a Duron and mobo for about the same price as a Celly and mobo, and it will be faster then the celly for gaming.
Agree, if you can go for the Duron cause you can still upgrade to a T-Bird whiles buying a K6/2 you can't go much higher than a K6/3. The Celeron would beat the K6/2 with gaming. So I suppose the cards are in your hands.
