Any one have any ideas?
When I overclock my PIII-1000 to 1100 everything works fine except when I download anything on the internet it freezes the download.
The connection is still alive , it is just the download that stops.
I am using a cable modem

I don't understand how everything else will work but downloading from the web doesn't. Are you trying to download the same file over? If so, try downloading a different file and see what happens. It might not be your computer that's the problem but the said file.
If you o bump up your voltage, just put it up 0.05 Volts and see how that does.

I did try different files from different sites.
As soon as I shut off and clock it back down , reload the site and redo the download it goes fast again.
Everything else runs fine.
Is it somthing to do with cable modems?
It is a Shaw@home modem

Are you, by any chance, using a USB modem?
USB can get pretty flaky with an overclocked FSB.
If you are, see if shaw@home will let you trade your USB modem for a regular cable modem which will be connected to your computer with a PCI NIC and regular Network cable. It may hold up to the overclock better.
That said, overclocking with the FSB is always dicey. It controls everything important in your system. Any of:
CPU, RAM, AGP card, PCI cards, hd controller, USB, etc can get flaky and cause problems.
When these problems arise the best thing to do is turn down your FSB one mhz at a time until your problem stops.
