Power Supply wonky?

Is there any way to test whether my power supply is the source of my crashes and occasional boot-up failures? The fan occasionally makes strange noises when booting in the morning.

As well, the motherboard is a VX chipset so do I probably need an AT power supply?

Give us some more info, tell us the specs of the rest of your system and be a little more specific about the crashes, but the PS may be the problem
