Many small overheating problems can be solved by just buying some Heat Sink Compound (Radio Shack $1.99) .
Make sure you remove the thermal pad completely though.

Dont be a cheapskate, buy Silver Based Thermal Conductive Transfer Compound. It is a viable commodity for o/cing !
Where can you get it and how much is it?
I bought it from a AL****** a tech component shop, but any electronic (hardcore) store should sell it. It cost me $25.95 (AUS$) for 100 ml/mg.
