Not usually... the bracket your board came with should hold no matter what kind of aftermarket heatsink and fan you have!
Cool, its just that I read something that came with the parts for my new comp(might have been the proccessor documentation) that said something about it. Just thought I'd ask up here.
Toolbox: NOT TRUE!!
My Alpha heatsink is WAY too big to allow me to use the standard CPU brackets to hold my system together. I had to make clips and wire the CPU to the case so it win't fall out.
