depends what you had originally, if it was a decent heatsink/fan then probably not, if it was a $2 bargain job with a fan that moved less air than a gnat farting then you would notice a big difference. What are you comparing it to?
Unless you fed the gnat some super grow, then the gnat may move more air...
I am comparing to heatsink and a fan that came with retail AMD II 400. It is very small heatsink/fan.
Me: I noticed a 17C drop in temperatures from using the stock fan--43C/109F to 26C/80F.
