I have oc AMD II 400MHZ to 450MHZ and it runs rock solid. Only exception is it seldom locks up when I am using IE5.0. It only occurs when I freshly start my computer when the comp is cold. Is this related to OC or the modem is bad?
any suggestion?

ummm... do you have the most current drivers for your video card?
it might not be a bad idea to download new ones anyway. was having a similar problem to this, installed new video drivers and fixed it right up.
if that doesn't work, i dunno.

Try turning it back down to 400 and see if the problem goes away. Try it for awhile and see.

I have the latest reference driver for my banshee and it does not have a fan on it. It gets pretty hot..... and what else can it be? It is placed right next to a modem and I feel that it maybe the reason. I donno. I am just guessing. I have 2 fans runnin on AMD II 400 oc 450 and I am thinking about getting a new alpha heatsink and a fan so that I can use one for a video card. What do you guys think? http://discussions.hardwarecentral.com/smile.gif
