I have a regular fan and heat sink on 400mhz AMD II. It runs at 450MHZ 2.3V and I want to increase the speed to 500MHZ 2.6V. IS IT POSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE THE SPEED BY getting a better cooling system? I want to break 500MHZ mark. Any suggestion? Is 2.6V too high for AMD chip?

Give it a go and see, but I don't think you'll be able to reach anything beyond 500MHz on a K6-2/III--the die's aren't made to go that high, at least not without any kind of super-cooling, be it water or vapor-phase refridgeration.
I'd try 475MHz and see if that works...

I was able to run at 500MHZ 2.8V but only at safe mode...... the sisoft multimedia benchmark was higher than PIII500. http://discussions.hardwarecentral.com/smile.gif
Nice running @500mhz, but I think 2.8v is a little much. Now if you can get some better cooling you may be able to run stable at 475mhz.
