RIM's iPad Rival Delayed Because of Battery Issues?

Rumor has it significant battery performance issues may cause RIM to delay the shipment of the Playebook. Apparently, the tablet's QNX operating system isn't managing power as well as users would need for all the functions RIM wants the PlayBook perform.
While RIM's has yet to reveal a ship date for the PlayBook, previous scuttlebutt placed it's probably time of release sometime in March 2011. However, if these battery issues are as bad as thought, it is likely we won't see the tablet PC until as late as May or later.
No doubt RIM's already fiddling with the QNX platform juice up the battery performance of the PlayBook so it'll come out of the gate swinging in its uphill battle against not just Apple but also all the Android-powered tablet PCs already on or coming soon to market. PlayBook specs include a 1GHz processor, 7-inch display, a gig of RAM and two HD cameras-a 5MB on the back and a 3MP on the front.
