Logitech Cordless Keyboard, Mouse Boast Three-Year Battery Life

No Change Until 2013

By Eric Grevstad

Cordless keyboards and mice are convenient. Changing batteries isn't. That's why Logitech brags that the batteries in its new Wireless Desktop MK710 ($100) will last up to three years, thanks to efficient 2.4GHz cordless technology and fast switching between idle and active mode that minimizes lag when you resume typing or mousing.

The low-profile keyboard features concave Logitech Incurve keys that support the shape of your fingertips while helping guide your fingers to the right keys. The midsized, right-handed laser mouse uses the same miniature USB receiver and offers a choice of precise click-to-click scrolling and hyper-fast scrolling to fly through long documents, plus three customizable thumb buttons to move quickly between Web pages or applications. The desk set will ship in April.
