More Zip for Xeon Systems

Buyers of Lenovo ThinkStation S20 and D20 professional workstations with Nvidia Quadro FX graphics can now shift Adobe Creative Suite 4 into overdrive. A new $200 option, Elemental Accelerator software, performs GPU-accelerated conversion of popular digital video formats to H.264/AVC output for upload to the web or Blu-ray burning, as well as high-speed MPEG-2 encoding for DVD or digital broadcast.

Taking advantage of the CUDA parallel computing architecture of Quadro GPUs, the Adobe Media Encoder plug-in accelerates the rendering of both Premiere Pro and After Effects sequences and projects while freeing CPU resources to perform other tasks. The ThinkStation S20 and D20 are powered by single and dual Intel Xeon processors, respectively, and available with Nvidia graphics starting at $799.
