Chinese Reject HP Laptops
March 10, 2010
The Inquirer: Chinese consumers file complaint to get their government to recall faulty HP notebook computers.
"According to the Financial Times, the lawyers delivered the complaint to the General Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ). The Financial Times reports that the Chinese consumers' grievance is based on the same faulty Nvidia chipset that has been plaguing certain HP laptops for at least two years. While Nvidia has acknowledged an overheating issue with its chipset, HP has been more reticent about any problems in its laptops."
"The lawyers requested that AQSIQ gets HP to recall the laptops and exchange any faulty hardware for a new product."
